Well done to Khalid and Bana for achieving Gold Awards. Bana has produced some great artwork and Khalid is trying very hard with his reading. We are very proud of you both!

Today in PE the Achievers practised Throwing and Catching using a big and small ball.

A huge well done to Adela and Adam for achieving this week’s Gold Award. Adela has been working hard in reading and Adam is becoming much more independent within class. We are very proud of them both!

Please help your child to practise reading and writing the sounds we have been learning in phonics over the past 2 weeks. If your child has been off during this time please help them to learn the sounds they have missed from the sheet in the photograph. This will ensure that they are not behind in phonics when they come back to school.

We are also learning to read words speedy. This means recognising them straight away and not having to sound them out. Please practise these with your child at home. A copy has been sent home in homework books this week.

Yesterday we had fun investigating Victorian Toys and how they work. Did you know that Victorian Toys were mostly made out of wood?

Today we have been using what we have learnt in Science to write a fact sheet about Toys. Sumeya, Almayar and Leith worked super hard with their writing! Well done!

In Re we have been learning how to take care of the world. We used drama to act out some of the ways and then created some lovely posters.
