In Science we have been learning all about the wind. We know that the wind can be very powerful and can blow many things. We read a story about the wind and watched some clips of the wind blowing different objects.
Then we made our own kites. We are hoping for a windy day so we can fly them!

We have been learning to represent numbers to 20 using base ten. We have learnt all about tens and ones. The number 16 has 1 ten and 6 ones.
How many tens and ones does the number 14 have?

This week in RE we worked together to create nativity scenes. Take a look at our wonderful work!

Challenge! Challenge! Challenge!
Today I gave the Achievers a challenge. Could we throw the big ball and catch it in different ways.
We started today’s lesson with a warm up.

Bent Knees throwing the ball in the air and catching it.

Throwing and Catching one handed.

Have a great week Achievers.
Mr. Riley
Well done to Abdirahman and Soreti for achieving a Gold Award this week. Abdirahman produced a fantastic piece of instruction writing and Soreti has been trying really hard with her reading. We are very proud of them both!

This week we went down to the forest to search for Goldilocks and the Three Bears who were hiding. We used clues in the forest to help us. Then we made some masks using grass, mud and charcoal.
Finally we enjoyed sitting around the fire with hot chocolate and popcorn. What a lovely afternoon we had!

This week in PE we made different shapes with our bodies. We made a straight shape, star, tuck and straddle. It was quite tricky but we worked really hard!

This week in Geography we looked at maps with an aerial view. This means a view that we have above from a height, looking down on something. We used objects to create a map with an aerial view of the classroom. Can you tell your adult what the different objects represent?

Achievers just love to read and are really good at it too. Well done to everyone who is also reading at home and bringing their diary in every Monday and Friday.
