We continued to look at forces using play dough. We know that we can use forces to change the shape of the play dough. Dough disco helped us to recognise that we can roll, bend, pull, stretch, pinch, poke, squeeze and twist the dough.

In RE we are learning about Christianity. We looked at the story of the Birth of Jesus from the Bible. We know that Christians believe that Jesus was the Son of God. We also know that Muslims believe that Jesus existed but as a messenger for God. We went on a story trail to find the different parts of the story taken from the Bible.

In PSHE we have been discussing ways that we are the same and ways that we are different to our friends. We talked to our partners to find out things that we both like.

In PE we have been looking at different ways of spinning and jumping. We looked at the different parts of our bodies we can spin on and five different types of jumps. Can you remember what they are?

In DT we are learning how to make moving pictures. We looked at how to make lever and slider mechanisms.
A lever moves around on a pivot point. A slider can move left, right, up and down. We make them move by pushing and pulling.

Well done to Beatrice and Adam for achieving a Gold Award. Beatrice has become really independent in class and Adam has worked hard to improve his writing. We feel very proud of them both!

Our topic in Science this half-term is Forces. We have been looking at pushing and pulling. When we push an object, it moves it further away. If we pull an object, it brings it closer.
We looked at how to can use our body to push and pull in PE.

In History we looked at the painting Children’s Games by Pieter Brugel. We compared it to the games that we play at school. Then we worked together to create a modern day version of the painting. Great work Achievers!

We investigated which materials would make a good house for the Three Little Pigs. Then the Big Bad Wolf came and tried to blow down the houses. Only one house was not blown down. Can you remember what material it was made out of?
